The developer announced a digital release date for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas - Definitive Edition in their blog post. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, first released in 2004, is the series’ fifth main entry which follows Carl “CJ” Johnson making his return to the city after a five-year absence. Rockstar Games will be bringing massive graphical and quality-of-life improvements to Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas - Definitive Edition.

Some of the ones detailed by Rockstar Games include “rebuilt lighting system, improved shadows, weather and reflections, upgraded character and vehicle models along with new higher resolution textures across buildings, weapons, roads, interiors and more”.

Rockstar Games has outlined many of the improvements coming with Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - Definitive Edition. Players got a first-hand look in the trailer at the extensive work done by Grove Street Games to make the game look and play better on current and last-generation consoles.

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition will be available digitally on November 11 through the PlayStation Store, the Microsoft Store on Xbox, Nintendo eShop, and the Rockstar Games Launcher, with select physical releases on December 7.
